Good news: this damend weel has finally come to an end. I'm totally depleted and barely functioning, but I survived it.
Bad News: Next week promises to be even worse than this one.

July has always been a crazy month at work, but this year it's heading toward new and unexplored peaks of crazyness.
It has started hectic and then it started to pile up from that.
I was already bone tired a week ago and it had kept on increasing since then.
By the end of this month I'll need a crane to lift me up from the abyss of tiredness I'm falling in.

it's past midnight and a girl band is playing practically under my bedroom window and I'm gettting ballistic about it.
First it's past midnight
second they're not as good as they believe they are.
third the singer is erroniously convinced that screaming in a microphone is enough to cover her pretty bad english
fourth when they speak amid songs, it gets even worse.
Once I wouldn't have minded, but now, being the grumpy old man I am, I only wish to get there and pull a 'John Belushi in Animal House' with their guitars.

It's started with Michael Jackson.
I went looking for his videos on Youtube (mostly earth Song. Liberian Girl, and Heal the world).
From Jackson I moved to We are the world and from there to Do they know it's christmas.
Once there the next step was Live Aid and of course what's better than Freddie and the Queen at Live Aid.
From there it's been Queen all over the place.
I've got the platinum collection in my Car Stereo, Inuendo in my home stereo and I tend to spend time in YouTube looking at their videos.
Always loved the Queen but lately I haven't listened to them a lot.
Now they're back with a vengeance and There are some songs that make my eyes go slightly wet
(Just seen the video of THESE ARE THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES and the final close up where Freddie says 'I Still Love you' made me shed a tear)

Wrote 1114 words today. Not bad at all.
This chapter looks like is going to end up as long as the last ones if not even longer, but on the bright side, it's coming out a lot more smoootly than the last one. With a bit of luck it'll take less time than the last one to be finished.
Now a bit of well deserved relax

I've started writing chapter 21 today afternoon. It's surprising since usually I can't put two sentences together after a day at work.
maybe it has something to do with a development I thought about during the day that wasn't contemplated in the initial timetable.

I had a very productive morning and even if I didn't get the end of it yet, I feel like It's finally coming the way I want.

Now I have to stop writing for the day because of other appointments), but I've reached a good point to stop for the moment and think if what I had in mind for the next part has to stay in this chapter or will do better in the following ones (there is always this feeling that, even if the story marches on slowly, the facts keep happening too quickly.)

Anyway this has been a very good day for the muse ^__^

So little time.

I don't seem to be able to keep up with all the things I want to read these days.
Between books and fanfictions I'm piling up a ton of things to read and right now I managed to read half an hour before sleep give or take some minutes.
Keeping this awfully slow pace I'll have to wait august's holidays to get even and that's not a certainty either (I could be working in August).

Same goes with writing... Running late there too.

Damn!

I spent the morning working on chapter 20. Did several steps forward and some steps back. This chapter keeps fightning me, but sooner or later I'll get it done the way I want.
Now rest is necessary.

Were both better than "batman and Robin" in my humble opinion.
Of course there are tons of zealots out there who will say differently, but I stick with it: The so waited return of the man who ruined Batman doesn't light a candle to Alfred's expression in batman 687.

Finally I had the chance to talk with someone about Jimmy, Tim and the troubled waters of youngsters and sex. I had confirmation that my fears were corrected and that it's better to insist on the bromance leaving all possible sex reference out of the picture for a (very long) while.
The scene I had in mind is now in serious risk of being pushed out of the story, but it's not a real problem.

Feeling better already.

I think I've invested too much time and energy in the net and that I should take Shatner's advise and 'get a life'.

This morning I woke up with the idea to put an end of SLC with a couple of lines in which Bruce Wayne woke up in his bed in the Penthouse and stated "No more Pepperoni pizza at two in the morning". That's be the easiest way out and just for that, I stopped considering it as soon as it came to me.
then I considered to post the timetable of the last chapters for those few people who may be still interested in knowing I planned to get it finished.
Then I pondered that I'm not ready to give up on that story already, but maybe I should take some time away from it and work on those projects I left behind in these last seven months.
Then again I admitted to myself that I do want to finish this story, but maybe I should wait to get it posted till it all done, so I will have one single massive disappointment instead of several small ones.
Now I'm back to square one.
I'm going to go voting (and accompany my mother to vote too) and then, probably, I'll open the chapter 20 file and try to add some lines, hoping that in the meanwhile the "why bother?" attitude will have subsized enough to let me get some work done.

I'm pretty much sure that, behind my back, the kids are getting as involved with each other as their fathers if not more (some time I've got the feeling they've outdistanced the older ones already) and I wonder if I should touch the matter, even if vaguely or ignore the signs and pretend it's not happening.
The point of the matter is that I've got this idea in my mind of Tim telling Jimmy that he'd seen Bruce and Jim getting drunk and sharing the same bed the night before and kissing each other in the morning. The reaction to that news is totally dependant on the level of attachement between the two kids. the approach is totally different if what they're sharing is just a kid bromance or something already deeper.

This need some more thinking and some advise that, so far, are getting late in coming, so consider it an official request to jump into the discusssion.

Drafted almost totally a sex scene that's 3 chapters away from where I stand right now.
It wasn't planned, but once I started scribbling notes for it the rest came pretty easily. That left chapter 20 were it was, so I did a lot of work today, but I've got nothing to show for it.
On the Bright side, the boys are going to have a very good time when the time for that chapter (the 23) will come ^__^

SO Batman and Robin #1 sells a lot.
So BATMAN R.I.P. trade paperback sells a lot.
There's no way to get rid of the man who keeps ruin Batman.
Time to let go and search something different to follow for the months (years) to come.
Damn!!!

THE man who ruined Batman (no matter if his zealots think otherwise) will be back tomorrow with the first number of BATMAN AND ROBIN, ready to do some more damage.
Sadly if we want to know what happened to Bruce and how he'll be back, this is the comic book to follow even if FOLLOW is a strong word to use, since usually the man who ruined Batman's books are unfolowable.
Even more sadly for us, the man who allowed Batman's ruin still has a boner for the man who ruined Batman, so there's no way to see the end of this mess dealt by someone else.
the alternative is to ignore everything and go back to Batman the day Bruce is back and the man who ruined Batman is out (whatever come first).
I'm keen to do the latter
