agreeing with sir Ian McKellen

  • Nov. 17th, 2009 at 7:07 PM

"I increasingly see organized religion as actually my enemy. They treat me as their enemy," said the British actor. "Not all Christians, of course. Not all Jews, not all Muslims. But the leaders. . . . Why should I take the judgment of a declared celibate about my sexual needs? He's basing his judgment on laws that would fit life in the Bronze Age. So if I'm lost to God, organized religion is to blame."

Dollhouse

Thorn between being disappointed for the cancellation or glad with had an extra season. After all it was plain from the start that this wasn't network material.
I'm pretty much sure that Cable Tvs would have payed bucks and bucks to have Dollhouse's ratings, but for a network those numbers were plainly not right.
Good news is they're going to film all 13 episodes so we'll have another DVD box-set.

so frustrating

  • Nov. 10th, 2009 at 11:15 PM

Still in full writer's Block.
I'm trying all the tricks I know to force it away, but so far Nothing.
DAMN

I'm gonna do it.

finally a propositive decision after months of just floating around without a purpose.
It's a sort of drastic measure, but it's what I need right now, so I'm going to get it.
I'm on my way to get a GASTRIC BANDING (sounds worse than what really is) and
try to fix my weight problem once and for all after only God knows how many attempts

I miss my muse

  • Oct. 24th, 2009 at 6:43 PM

I feel like I've been robbed of something.
I know it's just a bit of depression running under skin, but I miss the creative moments I used to have.
There was so much I wanted to write, so many projects brewing, but now all I seem able to do is working and sleeping (mostly sleeping).
Have to find a way to snap out of it...

good news

  • Oct. 12th, 2009 at 11:04 PM

we're actually going to see what really happens on april 29

As expected, ABC has picked up FlashForward for a full season.
The Lost wannabe (and could be) has been a solid performer on Thursday night, boosting ABC’s 8 pm time period 32 percent over last year (when Ugly Betty aired there). Even more impressive, its premiere episode was the first regular program since Friends to beat Survivor in the 18-49 demo.

B&S 4-02

  • Oct. 5th, 2009 at 6:44 PM

Surprisingly this episode kicked a mean ass. It doesn't happen often lately, but when the mood is right this show can still be the one I fell for 3 years ago.

still on hold.

Real life is taking its toll on my productive career.
Still not writing.
hope this situation will change soon.

zombies

  • Sep. 19th, 2009 at 11:06 PM

Zombies in comics are one of my personal kriptonite so I'm totally extranged from the actual DC main Event and I'm going to have to skip some books in the X-Men universe.
What remains is Dark Reign (which I got tired of more or less a couple of months after it started) and the new Batman (which It exists in my book as that useless part before they bring Bruce Back).

That's very sad

the muse and I

  • Aug. 17th, 2009 at 7:11 PM

decided of common accord to postpone today's session for a very simple reason. There was so hot in my room that was impossible to stay in it for more than few minutes at a time, no matter how fast the fans were working.
I tried stoically to stay at the pc and write but after a bit I gave up and went to a mall to enjoy the AC.
Tomorrow I'll be at my sister's house on the hills and I really hope it'll be a bit fresher than here in the most humid and hot part of the valley.

The muse and I have set another appointment for wednesday morning (early morning...) but if this heat will continue this way, I'll spend my last days of holidays touring malls and parks and pools and I'll go back to writing when staying in my room will be back to be tollerable

What Kind of Book Are You?

  • Aug. 17th, 2009 at 7:06 PM

I don't know how 5 answers managed to get it right on the spot

You Are Fantasy / Sci Fi
You have an amazing imagination, and in your mind, all things are possible.
You are open minded, and you find the future exciting. You crave novelty and progress.

Compared to most people, you are quirky and even a bit eccentric. You have some wacky ideas.
And while you may be a bit off the wall, there's no denying how insightful and creative you are.

where's the muse?

  • Aug. 14th, 2009 at 10:12 AM

I don't know what happening to her these days. One day she's back and ready to work, the next she's nowhere to be found.
I'll try to call her some more, but so far nothing...

the muse is back.

  • Aug. 13th, 2009 at 11:48 AM

She asked me to take it easy because she still felt a bit out of sort, but together we finally managed to start chapter 21B and we put together a good page of written stuff.
Now it's almost time for lunch, but I'll see if she feels like working in the afternoon and add some more to today's work.
In any case, it's good to be writing again.

UPDATE

  • Aug. 9th, 2009 at 11:39 AM

managed to scribble something, not as much as I would have liked...

tickling the muse

  • Aug. 9th, 2009 at 9:59 AM

After the physical breakdown of 10 days ago, the muse has been very shy about coming out to play with me, but today I'm tickling her to see if I can get some reaction.
Of course there's no chance to give a try to the next chapter of SLC, but planning the background of my new project seems less demanding and so far the muse is playing along.
We've not recovered yet, but we're starting to get a bit of chicken soup into the system. I hope to be back to SLC in a day or two...

my brain says:

after this week it was to be expected, but I had hoped to get some written lines done anyway. I see if I can do better after some more hours of total rest.
